A thoughtful design is one that honors and melds past and present. An existing brick path guides the way to a new flagstone patio (previously a lawn) planted with Dymondia in between; a lone Adirondack providing the perfect perch for reading and contemplation. Anchored by a mature Saucer Magnolia, the patio’s gently curved, dappled-shade periphery is now lush and aromatic, thanks to the generous introduction of Daphne, Rose, Salvia and Lavender. The desire for privacy and a sense of enclosure were achieved with the installation of Lophomyrtus and other tall shrubs.
